		<description>I enjoy when I end up at this site from a google search :-)  How does the kdump mechanism benefit us under &quot;normal&quot; conditions.  I.e. if my box reboots (with kdump enabled), do I need to get on the box right away manage vmcore and /dev/oldmem - or is everything a person would need automatically dumped in /var/crash/</description>
